The dad of missing toddler Noah Woods has provided an update on his son’s potential whereabouts as a large-scale search operation enters its second day.
In a message posted to a local Facebook group, Rhys Woods urged the “brilliant” volunteers to widen their search for the three-year-old who disappeared after visiting a village playground in Suffolk on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr Woods stated: “The emergency services are very confident that the high risk areas (Decoy pond, railway lines) are all clear. This means knowing our boy, he has gone even further, could I ask that all of you brilliant people out there today expand further if you are able to? Reference where I have outlined, and maybe even further than this.”

He added: “I cannot go another night knowing he’s out there alone, please don’t give up on him guys.”
Mr Woods, expressing gratitude to the volunteers who have joined the extensive police search for Noah, affirmed that his son is “out there somewhere”. “I appreciate every single one of you,” the father added.
It is believed that hundreds of individuals have joined Suffolk Police in the search for Noah. The force reported that the toddler was last seen at 3pm on Tuesday when he became separated from a relative after visiting the playground in Merriam Close, Brantham, near Manningtree.

Officers believe Noah ran off down the alleyway next to the playground towards the new build housing estate. Police have noted that Noah is autistic, non-verbal and suffers from partial hearing loss.
On Facebook, Mr Woods sought to “clear things up” about his son, stating that he is “only mildly autistic” and “fully capable of every day tasks”.
Scores of individuals posted messages of support beneath the post, with one person commenting: “Praying that your little precious boy will be home soon.”

Specialist officers and dog units have been combing the village, which is situated near the estuary of the River Stour. Helicopters from both the National Police Air Service and HM Coastguard have also been dispatched.
On the ground, assistance has been provided by the Coastguard, Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service and Suffolk Lowland Search & Rescue.

Earlier, police requested local residents to thoroughly inspect their gardens, sheds, outbuildings and any potential hiding places for a child.
Residents with private CCTV or doorbell cameras in the village, or those who were driving through the area with a dashcam, are being asked to review their footage from 3pm Tuesday afternoon onwards for any potential sightings of Noah.
In a statement, Superintendent Pete Partridge expressed that officers are “very concerned” for Noah’s welfare and locating him is a “matter of urgency”. He extended his gratitude to members of the public who have aided the search but urged for efforts to be co-ordinated by his officers.

“Given the fast-paced nature of the investigation, it’s crucial that any public searches are coordinated with the police to ensure we’re working in unison, and that our resources are directed where they can be most effective,” Superintendent Partridge added.
Anyone who believes they may have spotted Noah is urged to get in touch with Suffolk Police, quoting CAD 203 of September 15.
