Tennis star says she’s ‘horny and single’ after splitting from ‘energy couple’
Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas began dating in May 2023 and were quickly labelled as the power couple of tennis – but they have now confirmed their split
Tennis ace Paula Badosa has officially announced her breakup with fellow tennis professional Stefanos Tsitsipas, declaring she’s “sexy and single”.
The 28-year-old started her romance with the Greek star in May 2023 and swiftly became the centre of attention due to their celebrity status.
Consequently, the duo earned recognition as tennis’ ultimate power couple. Nevertheless, they ended their romance, with sources indicating they parted ways after this summer’s Wimbledon championships.
Both athletes suffered first-round eliminations from the tournament, reports the Express. Following their separation, they stopped following each other on social platforms and removed numerous photographs of themselves together.
The Spanish player has now officially acknowledged their breakup in a recent social media update after celebrating her 28th birthday.
Badosa was photographed sporting banners declaring “sexy and single” and “28 and still a 10”.
Posting several images from the celebration on Instagram, she captioned: “Chapter 28, here we go! Heart full…Thank you to the ones who made it so special.”
Badosa, who commands 1.3 million Instagram followers, regularly offers insights into her lavish lifestyle beyond tennis.
Currently rehabilitating from an injury that concluded her season in September, Badosa also discussed its effect on her psychological wellbeing.
“Sometimes life shakes us so hard that we think we won’t be able to get up,” she revealed. “We go through moments when the soul breaks in silence, where doubts weigh more than hope, and where the inner noise lets nothing be heard.
“But it’s right there, in that void, where something sacred begins: the reunion with oneself,” Badosa wrote.
“Healing isn’t forgetting or pretending it didn’t hurt. Healing is looking at yourself with compassion, recognizing your wounds and understanding that everything you experienced was a necessary part of the journey.
“It is discovering that peace is not in what you have, or in who accompanies you, but in the simple fact of being able to breathe calmly with yourself.”
