Gormanston crash as a number of feared lifeless after smash between bus, truck and automotive

A major incident has been declared in Gormanston, Co Meath, after a horror crash between a bus, truck and car – with multiple fatalities feared

A devastating crash involving a bus, lorry and car in Gormanston, Co Meath has sparked fears of multiple fatalities.

The three-vehicle pile-up occurred on the R132 near The Huntsman Inn earlier today.

It’s believed that police are bracing for the worst, with at least one individual rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

The smash-up, which involved a bus, lorry and car, has led to the closure of the road and local diversions being put into effect.

A Garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of a road traffic collision at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, this morning, Monday 24th November 2025.

“The R132 is currently closed with local diversions in place. No further information is available at this time.”

Witnesses have told the Irish Mirror that they saw at least six ambulances, medical vehicles and several fire engines rushing to the scene. It is understood there are serious concerns for at least three people in this incident. One woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital in a critical condition.

Bus Eireann said in a statement: “Bus Éireann can confirm one of our route 101 services has been involved in a critical road traffic collision involving other vehicles in the Gormanstown Cross area of county Meath this morning, 24 November 2025.

“Emergency services and Bus Éireann personnel are currently at the scene. We will provide further information as it becomes available.”
