A chilling photo featuring the Golders Green suspect has been circulated. The man in the picture is nonchalantly strolling down the street, wielding a knife. Two men, aged 34 and 76, were stabbed in a terror incident that took place in just four minutes in Golders Green, North London, on Wednesday morning.

Sir Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, stated the 45-year-old suspect has a past of severe violence and mental issues. He was tasered and arrested by two police officers following the double stabbing at around 11:15am, which has now been classified as a terrorist attack.

The two victims are in a stable condition in hospital after the terrifying event, which has led to demands for stricter measures on antisemitic violence.

Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis identified them as Nachman Moshe ben Chaya Sarah and Moshe Ben Baila in a social media post.

Distressing footage shared online seems to show a man at a bus stop donning a kippah before an attacker lunges at him, reports the Express.

Another video shows two police officers confronting the knife-wielding man in the middle of the road, before using a taser and repeatedly kicking him in the head.

Sir Mark, who faced calls to resign from members of the public as he made a statement at the scene, said the officers were “nothing short of extraordinary”.

“They confronted a man they believed to be a terrorist, who refused to show his hands, who was violent and continued to pose a clear threat,” he continued.

“These were not armed officers, and they feared that he was carrying an explosive device.

“Using only their training, their courage and their tasers, they managed to detain him while he continued to try and attack and stab them.”
