WARNING, GRAPHIC IMAGES: The world’s top nudist resort is reportedly facing problems as traditional naturists clash with swingers hosting X-rated sex sessions on public beaches
The world’s biggest naked holiday destination has reportedly been overrun by a new wave of swingers engaging in sordid public sex acts, leaving traditionalists fuming. Cap d’Agde, located in the sun-drenched south of France, is a massive naturist hub capable of hosting 40,000 visitors during the summer rush.
However, insiders claim the once-peaceful village, filled with hotels, villas and campsites, has seen its original clothes-free ethos replaced by raw hedonism.
The rise of the lifestyle visitor has sparked a cultural divide. Barbara, a British expatriate who has frequented the village for three decades, says the atmosphere has shifted since the arrival of “international swingers.”
Now running the adult networking app SpicyMatch, she told The Sun: “Since we first started coming to the village around 30 years ago, the clientele has changed massively.”
She noted that the influx of swingers has shifted the demographic to roughly a 60/40 split between traditional nudists and those looking for more than just a tan.
Barbara added: “It’s made the place far more exclusive, creating a clear separation between the original naturist crowd and the new generation of lifestyle visitors.”
While naked supermarket runs and nude haircuts are standard in the village, the real controversy lies on the sands of the Bay of Pigs.
Journalist William J. Furney described a scene of absolute debauchery where “open sex sessions” draw crowds of voyeurs.
Describing one shocking encounter, he said: “A woman with long, grey hair lay flat on her back, a portly man on top of her. The sight of the two copulating triggered an immediate, almost frenzied reaction among equally naked men nearby who appeared to be on the constant lookout for such action.
“Dozens hotfooted it to the couple and stood almost shoulder to shoulder while touching her and pleasuring themselves.” Perhaps most disturbing was the proximity of families to the X-rated antics.
Furney added: “Families with small children strolled by at the water’s edge, some stopping to look in puzzlement at the gathering before moving on.
“Oblivious, the amorous couple continued, at one point the man grabbed the woman’s throat and squeezed as she looked around at her admiring audience.”
Barbara says she now avoids that area as “it’s not my preference.” She also highlighted that the authorities are watching from a bird’s-eye view.
She said: “Both security and lifeguards and police are in the tower during the summer months, all day long.”
Streets are lined with warnings against “sexual exhibitionism,” with offenders facing a potential year behind bars and a €15,000 (£12,500) fine.
Despite the controversies and a massive Covid outbreak that saw 7,000 cases in a single day, the resort is said to be more popular than ever.
