A Premier League ace is living the life off the pitch as he gets the pleasure of unwinding with his beautiful celebrity girlfriend.
Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has his eyes set on lifting the Premier League for the fifth time but the fate of Pep Guardiola’s men now rests in the hands of title rivals Arsenal slipping up in either of their remaining two league games against Burnley and Crystal Palace.
However, ahead of an FA Cup final clash against Chelsea, centre-back Dias will be enjoying his birthday celebrations today as the Portugal international celebrates turning 29. While a May birthday appeals to some hoping for good weather to have a drink in a beer garden, Dias’ special day coincides with the busiest and most stressful part of the football season.

Therefore, he’ll likely be revelling in some low-key festivities with his stunning TV presenter girlfriend Maya Jama, after the two enjoyed an earlier getaway to Rome last month. Taking in the art and beauty of the Italian capital, Maya, 31, also couldn’t resist the sun as she threw on a bikini and flaunted her jaw-dropping looks.
The Love Island presenter has become a household name and rumours of a romance with Dias began at the start of 2025. A few months later, a poll conducted by dating website Illicit Encounters listed Maya as the sixth sexiest woman in the UK.
There was speculation that the pair had been spotted on a New Year’s Eve date before Maya subsequently cheered on City from a box during the team’s draw with Brighton last March.
While not publicly announcing their relationship, the TV personality demonstrated that the pair were still spending time together that May. She shared a video detailing the couple being pursued by photographers, with City star Dias seen keeping a lookout after a dinner date.
During the video, Maya quipped: “When we came out the restaurant they were spread out across the road and they didn’t get us so now they’re following. I’m in half a mind to just give them a f****** show and the other half is hide.”
Last summer, they headed out to Ibiza together, with Maya sharing cute couple pictures from their trip. Dias replied to the holiday snaps, which were posted to the broadcaster’s Instagram, with a red heart emoji.
The couple also took time away from Manchester in March when Maya checked out the sights of Dias’ hometown of Lisbon. The 74-time Portugal international came through the youth ranks at Benfica before joining City, and the Portuguese capital is still close to his heart.
And it appears Maya fell in love with the place too as she commented on Dias’ post: “& now I never wanna leave Portugal.”
Dias was an unused substitute again for City as Pep Guardiola’s side kept up their pursuit of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League with a 3-0 win on Wednesday night.
Dias last played in the league at the start of March but has either been left on the bench by Guardiola or been kept out of the squad by a recurring hamstring injury.
