Over recent years, air fryers have surged in popularity, with ease of use being a key draw – and now Amazon has cut the price of a compact Ninja model. The Ninja Crispi Portable Air Fryer in sage is currently available for £129, reduced from £149.99 on Amazon, offering shoppers a 14% saving.

What sets this particular model apart is its ability to be plugged in virtually anywhere without hogging counter space. Despite its compact size, it still delivers the power (1,700 watts) of a full-sized fryer, ensuring cooking performance isn’t compromised.

The complete bundle includes a Power Pod for cooking, two dishwasher-safe glass containers (1.4L and 3.8L), two non-stick crisper plates and two storage lids. The air fryer offers multiple cooking options for users to select from: air fry, roast, keep warm and re-crisp, and reportedly cooks using heated air for consistently crispy outcomes.

Diners can eat straight from the glass bowls before storing any remaining food for later – cutting down on washing-up time as well. It’s also noteworthy that it requires minimal to no oil, making it a healthier choice all around.

Whether for batch cooking and meal preparation, or rustling up dinner for the entire household, this air fryer handles it all. The larger container can cater for up to six people, while the smaller vessel works perfectly for accompaniments or individual servings.

Ninja isn’t the only brand offering practical cooking gadgets, though, as Argos currently stocks the Russell Hobbs Express 12.6L Air Fryer and Mini Oven for £100. This model can accommodate everything from whole chickens to large pizzas, boasts five multi-function cooking modes, and features a compact design perfect for worktop use, reports the Express.

For those preferring to stick with the traditional air fryer, Boots is selling a Tower AirX 5L Single Basket Air Fryer at £79.99. This model offers six preset cooking programmes and, despite being larger, features an elongated cooking basket with a slender footprint to maximise worktop space.

Returning to the Ninja air fryer, which is proving a hit with customers. One Amazon review stated: “Food comes out perfectly cooked, especially fried foods, which are crispy without extra oil. It also saves oven space when cooking multiple dishes at once.”

Another added: “Great little cooker. Easy to set up and use. Food tastes great, some healthy air fry options for a healthier diet. Very versatile with multi-cook options to choose from.

“Great small footprint in the kitchen, but packs power and saves energy compared to our big fan oven. I wish I had it before.”

A third person wrote: “Buy with confidence. Absolutely brilliant. How did I live without this?” One shopper docked a star, stating: “More compact than the version with drawers, so easier to store.

“Not sure whether I was expecting too much, but my first attempts haven’t been great. Chips certainly don’t match the ones that I cook in a deep oil fryer. Maybe I need more practise.”

Another person said: “Superb. Use it all the time. So much better than a standard air fryer.

“Easy to clean and so very quiet. Sits neatly on the kitchen work surface. Instructions are clear and helpful.

They continued: “Could improve by enabling glass containers to be removable from the support, but not a major issue. The food is very juicy compared to the previous air fryer, which is lovely.”
