EXCLUSIVE: Carla Bellucci has vowed to spend the heatwave sunbathing naked so the scorching sun can give her an enviable tan before she jets off to Italy on her hols next week
A former glamour model is planning to sunbathe naked in her garden during the third heatwave in as many months – regardless of how her “snobby neighbours” might react.
Temperatures are predicted to exceed 35C in some parts of England later this week and Carla Bellucci is determined to use this to her advantage to cover up unsightly tan lines.
The mum-of-four, from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, is therefore ditching her clothes, something she believes she has every right to do, even if her neighbours are able to catch a glimpse.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Carla, who turns 45 this month, boldly declared: “Heatwave is back and I’m spending my days naked in my garden much to my neighbours’ anger. They are so tall they can peer at me over the fence. Don’t like it? Don’t look.”
As for why she feels the need to go completely nude, she added: “I feel free and liberated so why not? It’s too hot for clothes. I have a banging body so why not show it off and my husband doesn’t mind the view.
“And no tan marks – it’s an all-round winner.”
She emphasised that she was not self-conscious about her neighbours potentially being able to see her — and that being body confident was a positive thing.
Carla even said they were “welcome to look” and that it was her house and her garden and that she pays a lot of money to live there – so she will therefore do as she pleases.
As for what makes her neighbours “snobby”, the influencer, who infamously faked depression to get a free nose job before defending herself on This Morning, replied: “They are just not my biggest fans.
“I feel it… this whole village? It’s a bit stuck up. I love living here and I’m here to stay for now so they have to get used to it. Everyone here is in their big houses, new cars, thinking they are a Stepford wife, it’s just the vibe.
“They probably think I lower the tone, being an ex-glamour model and now an influencer.”
Carla is jetting off to Italy next week and she said the heatwave was the perfect timing to top up her tan beforehand.
She encouraged other Brits to “let it all hang out” in their gardens this week too — but they may want to be cautious.
That’s because it could potentially breach the law, even if you are in your own private garden.
Public nudity is not strictly illegal in England and Wales but stipulations exist. This is under Section 66 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 if nudity is intended to cause “distress or alarm”.
The Crown Prosecution Service states: “In the case of naturism, a balance needs to be struck between the naturist’s right to freedom of expression and the right of the wider public to be protected from harassment, alarm and distress.”
So if you do want to risk lounging naked in your garden, it is best that it is not visible from your neighbour’s home, as there is a risk you will cause “distress or alarm”, although this is only illegal if there was intent behind your action.
Unsurprisingly, Carla is not concerned about any of that, and in a concluding message, she said: “All I hear is people moaning about the weather. I would tell Brits to enjoy it while it lasts, get naked, let it all hang out and grab a vino and enjoy life.
“Soaking up the blazing sun au naturel is the ultimate summer freedom.”
