An 11-month-old baby girl who tragically lost her life alongside her parents in a horrific car crash has been named as Aisha Camara. The fatal accident occurred when a car veered off the road and crashed on the A38 in Derby, near Toyota Island.
The tragedy unfolded around 11pm on July 25, claiming the lives of Aisha’s parents, Abubacarr Camara, 36, and Isa Jaiteh, 30. An 18-year-old woman also died in the crash, though her identity has not yet been disclosed.
All four were passengers in the red Hyundai, with the driver, a 33-year-old man, currently hospitalised with serious injuries.
He was initially arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed.
All five individuals are from Leeds, and their families have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers, reports the Express.
Derbyshire Police stated: “Our thoughts are with them at this most distressing time.”
The force is appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.

In a Facebook post, a spokesperson for The Gambian Welfare Society in Leeds said the “community in Leeds, especially the Sarahuleh community, has been struck by a devastating tragedy.”
The High Commission of The Gambia in the UK also responded to the tragedy, confirming that four Gambian nationals had lost their lives in the incident.
A spokesperson said: “According to information received, the four individuals were travelling together from Birmingham to Leeds when their vehicle left the road and collided with a tree. All four occupants sadly lost their lives.
“Her Excellency Dr Fatou Bensouda, High Commissioner of the Republic of The Gambia to the United Kingdom, together with the staff of the High Commission, extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families during this difficult time.
“The Deputy Head of Mission, Mr Suntou Touray, has spoken with the President of the Gambia Welfare Society in Leeds, Mr Yanks Sawo, to convey the High Commission’s condolences and to coordinate with the family’s liaison representative.
“The High Commission remains in contact with the relevant authorities and the affected families and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
“May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace.”
