The transfer window is in full swing – and some blockbuster deals have already grabbed headlines this week as Mohamed Salah finally found a new club.
The Liverpool icon has put pen-to-paper on a deal with Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, and was welcomed by passionate fans as he donned their jersey for the first time. However, he’s not the only blockbuster transfer to be announced this week.
Danny Welbeck completed his switch from Brighton to Chelsea. The Blues have been very active this week – signing World Cup villain Valentin Barco from Strasbourg and Jordan Henderson from Brentford. James Trafford swapped Manchester City for Leeds and Yan Diomande is now a Real Madrid player.

And with so many big deals getting over the line this week – there are plenty of transfers that you might have missed, and Daily Star Sport has rounded up 12 of them.
Julian Brandt will have to wait a bit longer if he wants to play in the Premier League, with the German midfielder leaving Borussia Dortmund to join Ajax. He’s the Amsterdam giants’ second big signing of the week after they also landed Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Freddie Potts was once a highly-rated talent at West Ham, but he’s now looking to rediscover his form in the Pro League with Club Brugge.
A statement from the Hammers read: “The 22-year-old moves to the Belgian Pro League side after 16 years in Claret and Blue, having joined the Academy of Football at the age of six and worked his way up to make his first-team debut in a UEFA Europa League tie against Dinamo Zagreb in December 2021.
“Midfielder Potts was part of the squad which won the UEFA Europa Conference League in Prague in 2023.
“Everyone at West Ham United would like to sincerely thank Freddie for his hard work, commitment and all-round contribution and wish him every success in the future.”
Lyndon Dykes, who plays for the Scottish national team, has made the move across London from Charlton to Millwall.
There’s more movement at West Ham too, with Joel Veltman signing on a free from Brighton.
While former Manchester United shot stopper Ben Amos has swapped Port Vale for Burnley.
