The Food Standards Agency has issued an urgent recall for Lay’s Sour Cream & Dill Crisps sold in Home Bargains due to undeclared milk and wheat allergens, which could pose a health risk
The Food Standards Agency has issued a recall for a popular item sold in Home Bargains due to undeclared allergens in the product, which could pose risks to those with milk and wheat allergies.
ASR Solutions Ltd are recalling Lay’s Sour Cream & Dill Crisps as they have been found to contain milk and wheat, neither of which is declared on the label. This means they pose a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten, or those with coeliac disease.
The affected products can be found in Home Bargains stores. The recall affects the Lay’s Sour Cream & Dill Crisps 125g with best before dates up to and including October 31, 2026.
If you have purchased the item and suffer from any of these allergies, then do not consume the crisps, and contact Home Bargains for a refund, reports the Express.
The FSA stated: “If you have bought this product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from which you bought the product for a full refund.”
You can return it to the store from which you bought the product for a full refund or contact support@home. bargains if you require further information.
This latest recall follows another allergen-related product withdrawal last month, when Doritos Tortilla Chips Chilli Heatwave were removed from sale after undeclared milk was found in the product.
Those crisps, which were supplied by several major retailers including Tesco, were recalled as they could present a health risk to individuals with a milk allergy.
