Leicestershire Police investigating an incident at Download Festival that saw a couple caught allegedly in an intimate act on a Ferris wheel have charged a man with outraging public decency
Police officers who were hunting a couple in investigation into an intimate act on Download Festival’s Ferris wheel have now charged a man with outraging public decency.
Officers from Leicestershire Police were investigating following reports of an alleged act took place at the festival in Castle Donington on Saturday, June 13.
Police said they have been carrying out inquiries after fans, who were waiting for music legends Guns ‘n’ Roses to start their set, had seen the alleged act take place.
Cops were initially probing reports that two festivalgoers were “acting inappropriately” inside one of the Ferriss wheel’s glass pods.
Innes Miller, 33, of Glastonbury Close, Edwalton, Nottinghamshire, has been charged with outraging public decency.
He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 10.
Leicestershire Police say a woman who was also involved in the incident has also been identified and voluntarily interviewed, reports Leicestershire Live.
At the time of writing, the woman has not been charged over the incident.
Downaload Festival is the biggest rock and metal music event in the UK, and it attracts around 80,000 revellers every summer.
