Now Ginni Thomas is accused of pressuring Wisconsin lawmakers to overturn the election

Ginni Thomas, conservative activist and wife to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, pressured lawmakers in Wisconsin to overturn President Joe Biden‘s victory there, newly revealed emails show.

The emails, obtained by the Washington Post, were sent to two people – state Sen. Kathy Bernier, then chair of the Senate elections committee, and state Rep. Gary Tauchen.

Those emails were in addition to the 29 Arizona state lawmakers Ginni Thomas contacted in November 9, 2020. Thomas, a lawyer herself and Trump ally, sent the message via the online platform FreeRoots, where a person can send pre-written notes to multiple elected officials.

She urged the lawmakers to ‘stand strong in the face of political and media pressure’ and claimed that the responsibility to choose electors was ‘yours and yours alone.’

They had ‘power to fight back against fraud’ and ‘ensure that a clean slate of Electors is chosen,’ the email said, according to the Post.

‘Please do your Constitutional duty!’ read the subject line of the message she sent.

Reports of Ginni Thomas’ activism raised questions about whether Justce Thomas should have recused himself from any Supreme Court case involving the election.

Thomas participated in at least nine rulings related to the 2020 election. He also has ruled on cases where Trump was fighting attempts by congressional investigators to obtain the former president’s records.

But Ginni Thomas said the two keep their work separate.

‘Clarence doesn’t discuss his work with me, and I don’t involve him in my work,’ she told the conservative publication Free Bacon in March.

There were previous reports she strategized with Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows over how to keep Trump in the White House a second terem.

She exchanged at least 29 text messages with Meadows between November 2020 and mid-January 2021 as Trump allies worked frantically to keep him in office.

‘Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!!’ Thomas texted Meadows on November 10, 2020, three days after the election was called for Biden.

She continued, saying, ‘the majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.’

Thomas has not yet been subpoenaed by the January 6 select committee, but members are considering doing so. It asked her to sit for a voluntary interview in June.

Bernier, the Wisconsin lawmaker, said she did not realize Thomas was among the thousands who emailed her in the days following the election but defended her ‘First Amendment right to speak her mind.’

Bernier said the state legislature could have considered decertifying the results of the 2020 election if evidence emerged of significant voter fraud, ‘but as we went through the process and the legal challenges were made and discounted by the judicial system, there was nothing proven as far as actual voter fraud.’

Bernier said she did not believe Thomas’s activisms was not improper given her husband’s position.

‘I was married for 20 years. I took on some identity of my husband, but I had my own mind,’ Bernier said. ‘Just because you’re married to someone doesn’t mean that you’re a clone.’
