Police swarm Sainsbury’s after lady ‘attacked’ as ‘liquid on floor’ in UK metropolis centre
Police raced to the scene after reports a woman had been “attacked” on Buchanan Street in Glasgow last night as dozens of cars were seen out side a Sainsbury’s Local
A major police response saw dozens of vehicles outside a Sainsbury’s Local after reports a woman was “attacked” in a UK cicty centre.
The incident was reported on Buchanan Street in Glasgow shortly before 7pm last night (November 9) as prompted emergency services being called.
Witnesses described seeing an unknown ‘liquid on the ground’.
According to reports by The Scottish Sun, staff of the Sainsbury’s Local came outside to help the woman, who had reportedly been assaulted.
A witness told The Scottish Sun: “There was a bit of a rammy near the shop.
“It ended up getting worse, and they ended up near the Buchanan Galleries.
“One woman then ran into the Sainsbury’s.”
Witnesses recalled seeing paramedics treating her at the scene as police stopped people from entering the store.
Police were seen bagging up items nearby while a major cordon was put in place to enable them to investigate the area.
Witnesses also claimed to have seen privacy screens put in place while the woman was being treated.
They made note of a large amount of water bottles nearby and splashes of an unknow liquid outside the store.
The nature of the incident is still unknown.
