Pedestrians struck by car as main UK metropolis centre cordoned off after incident

A major incident has seen an area of Glasgow city centre cordoned off after reports of pedestrians being hit by a vehicle.
Police were on the scene of West Regent Street, near the junction with Wellington Street, as the area was cordoned off following an emergency incident.
According to GlasgowLive, officers confirmed to them that two people had been injured following the incident.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 3.35pm on Monday, 17 November, 2025, we were called to a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians on West Regent Street, near the junction with Wellington Street, in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and one of the pedestrians was taken to hospital. The other was checked by paramedics at the scene.
“The road was reopened around 4.30pm and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
