Police and forensics swarmed around two aircrafts at Glasgow Airport this morning as part of an ‘ongoing investigation’ – officers say enquiries are currently ongoing

Police and forensics swarmed to a UK airport this morning as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers were spotted securing a Jet2 plane off the runway while investigations on two aircrafts were underway at Glasgow Airport.

Police have since confirmed that there is no risk to the public, and enquiries are still in ongoing. A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “On the morning of Monday, 2 February, 2026, officers carried out enquiries on two aircrafts at Glasgow Airport in connection with an ongoing investigation.

“There is no risk to the public. Enquiries are ongoing.”, reports Glasgow Live.

The airport said the incident is not ongoing and reiterated that there is no risk to the public.
