Vladimir Putin has ‘world’s strongest missile that may obliterate Downing Street’

Vladimir Putin has boasted his Satan-2 is the world’s most powerful missile as a Kremlin-aligned channel released disturbing footage reportedly showing how the weapon could obliterate Downing Street

A Kremlin-backed Telegram channel has allegedly made threats to destroy Downing Street using Vladimir Putin’s Satan-2 super-missile amid growing concerns over nuclear escalation.

The menacing warnings directed at the British Prime Minister’s official residence come after Russia declared a successful test of a 208-tonne intercontinental missile. According to the Kremlin, the weapon measures the height of a 14-storey building and produces a yield four times more powerful than anything developed by the West.

Voennaya Khronika, which means War Chronicles, claims 310,000 followers and has published footage showing how the catastrophic missile could destroy Downing Street. A separate image released by the channel shows Putin’s Oreshnik super weapon targeted straight at NATO’s headquarters.

Barrel of Black Caviar, another account intensely devoted to the Kremlin, said, “Sarmat can destroy the British Prime Minister’s residence.” It added, “And Oreshnik can destroy NATO’s residence.”

The alarming demonstrations of Russia’s missile arsenal surfaced on the same day Putin unveiled his newest weapons system. According to the Kremlin, it constitutes “the most powerful missile in the world.”, reports the Express.

To stress the weapon’s tremendous destructive power, Putin went on television to emphasise its explosive yield, asserting the warhead delivered a yield four times that of any Western counterpart. Putin also claimed that the warhead travelled a distance of 21,750 miles. “It has the ability to penetrate all existing and future anti-missile defense systems,” Putin said in his remarks. The Russian leader went on to assert the missile system has “no counterparts in the world.

“The missile can move not only on a ballistic but also on a suborbital trajectory, which allows for a range of over 21,750 miles while doubling its accuracy and the ability to penetrate all existing and future missile defense systems,” he added.

The testing also emerges as the Russian leader delivered the menacing declaration that he was preparing to hit Ukraine with a “nuclear-scale” assault.

Putin delivered a chilling warning to Kyiv, threatening the most devastating strike of the conflict should Ukrainian drones disrupt his major military parade in Moscow.

Officials within the Russian Defence Ministry warned that civilians and diplomats should “leave the city promptly” if Volodymyr Zelensky targets the Red Square event, as it would trigger an immediate “massive retaliatory missile strike.”

The Russian statement suggests the potential deployment of the hypersonic Oreshnik [Hazel Tree] missile.

“If you use several such systems in one strike at once – two, three, or four systems – it will be comparable in strength to a nuclear strike,” Putin had previously said. The Kremlin’s caution emerged amidst growing unease in Moscow over Ukraine’s increasingly potent drone and missile capabilities.

One report suggests that the mausoleum of Soviet founder Vladimir Lenin on Red Square could serve as a sanctuary for VIP guests attending the annual Victory Day parade.
