Die-hard Arsenal followers travelling 350 miles to Germany as an alternative of Spurs’ stadium for gig

Die-hard Arsenal fans are flying to Germany to see their favourite band, because they don’t want to visit Spurs’ ground.

Queens of the Stone Age are set to play at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium (THS) in north London on July 13 – a perfect opportunity for UK fans to see the swaggering desert rockers. Right?

For Arsenal fans Dom, Bert, Dion and Otis, the fact that the No One Knows shredders are gracing the stage at the home of Spurs doesn’t sit well. Even though THS is a short walk from their north London homes, the mates are instead heading to Dusseldorf – a distance of around 350 miles – to see the band play – simply because they hate the Lilywhites so much and “don’t want to give them a penny”.

Otis told Daily Star: “When we realised that to see our favourite bands in the UK, we’d be sending money to N17th, we knew there was no other option but to go abroad. Its pure economics really.

“We don’t give our hard earned money to an organisation that blatantly doesn’t know how to spend it appropriately.”

The Josh Homme-fronted band is playing Dusseldorf on July 10, which gives the lads an opportunity to dodge Spurs while having a merry German jaunt while they’re at it.

Bert chimed in: “The new S**** hart Lane is a beautiful stadium with a decent brewery within. It’s just such a shame there is no other quality to mention, other than NFL and when Arsenal play there.”

The bunch of Gooners – riding high off the back of their team’s recent Premier League victory – have drawn a line in the sand. For them, Spurs is a dirty word.

A lot of people might call the blokes “petty” for their decision. But the group doesn’t mind, leaning into their “unbearable” title.

When asked about their team’s chances of victory against French team PSG in Saturday’s Champions’ League, Otis replied: “It’s going to be a hard game, and we’re considered the underdogs but we have faith in Mikel. We can probably get a 1-0 win and spend 90 minutes filled with dread. However, if we win, the unbearables will be here to stay.”
