Naturists urging members to strip off and practise their swings at loopy golf course
Naturists are being offered the chance to practise their swing completely naked at a state-of-the-art crazy golf course – without the risk of high winds or getting nibbled by midges.
Golf fans are being invited to practise their hole in one skills at the Adventure Golf Island complex in Dunfermline, Scotland on August 29. The kit off event is being advertised online by British Naturism, the national body for those who like to go clothes-free.
A blurb for the £15-a-ticket evening out posted on its website reads: “In a summer where extraordinary experiences are around every corner, our Scottish members are certainly not taking their foot off the gas.
“Yet another unique opportunity has arrived. Think back to those family seaside holidays. Remember trying to conquer the windmills, bridges and impossible obstacles of the local crazy golf course?
“Now imagine doing it on a spectacular Florida-style course… without your clothes. Adventure Gold Island in Dunfermline, near Edinburgh, is anything but miniature.”
It added: “The impressive venue features both an outdoor course and a breathtaking indoor course beneath a floodlit dome, making it the most distinctive crazy golf venues in the UK.
“The dome keeps us sheltered from any Scottish squalls (winds), and perhaps even the more determined midges. Along the way you’ll encounter waterfalls, fountains, palm trees, tiki huts, a pirate ship and a castle, all surrounded by impressive water features that wouldn’t look out of place at St Andrews.
“Join us for what promises to be one of the most memorable events of the summer. Having seen the pictures, this venue is worth visiting whatever you’re wearing but playing it, the naturist way makes it even more appealing.”
Just weeks ago, we revealed naturists will be risking life and limb by taking part in naked beekeeping sessions at next month’s Nudefest. While last month reports stated nine out of 10 older people say they’d be happy to get their kit off on a nudist beach.
A poll of 15,000 folk from across the UK found that just 8% of those aged 62 plus said they would be “too shy” to bare all. The remaining 92% admitted they’d have no problem ditching their clothes and frolicking by the sea in their birthday suit.
