‘World’s sexiest tennis influencer’ extra than simply her nickname after wowing at Wimbledon

Rachel Stuhlmann was dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest tennis influencer’ due to her jaw-dropping photos but the court sensation says her work is so much more than just her nickname.

The American content creator has regularly turned heads on social media with her stunning looks and eye-catching posts, but she caught the attention at Wimbledon last week when she brushed shoulders with the 2014 finalist turned beloved BBC pundit Eugenie Bouchard.

While Stuhlmann’s media work around tennis has been ongoing for years, her time in SW19 landed her firmly in the minds of British tennis fans. Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Sport, Stuhlmann – also branded ‘the OG tennis influencer’ – said she loves the nicknames her fans have given her, but revealed she wants to be known much differently in the industry now.

“I always take those nicknames with a smile. They’re flattering, but they don’t really define what I do. At the end of the day, I want to be known for the quality of my work and the value I bring to the sport,” she said.

“I’ve been creating tennis content for nearly a decade, long before sports creators became as common as they are today. I think that’s where the “OG” nickname comes from. I’ve been fortunate to help pioneer this space and watch it grow.

“The way I stay ahead is by continuing to evolve. I don’t just post content for the sake of posting – I think strategically about storytelling, what fans actually want to see, and how I can bring them closer to the sport.

“Because I work across so many areas of professional tennis, whether it’s hosting, media, partnerships, or content strategy, I have access to stories and experiences that most fans don’t get to see. That’s what I try to share.”

A quick glance at Stuhlmann’s social media profile shows the way her content has changed in recent years from eye-popping outfits to her showing behind the scenes at the sport’s biggest tournaments.

When asked if she wanted to be seen as more than just a ‘sexy’ influencer and whether it had been a conscious move to change the way she portrayed herself online, she replied: “Absolutely. It was a very intentional decision.

“Early on, I think a lot of people discovered me because of my photos, but I always wanted to build something much bigger than that.

“I’ve spent years working in professional tennis, and I wanted my content to reflect the knowledge, relationships, and experiences I’ve built within the sport.

“Today my audience is just as interested in behind-the-scenes access, tournament culture, travel, interviews, fashion, and storytelling as they are in my personal brand.

“That’s been really rewarding because it allows me to showcase tennis in a way that’s entertaining while also educating fans.

“I’ve always believed you don’t have to fit into one box. You can embrace your personality and still be taken seriously as a professional.”

Stuhlmann says her content has “evolved” and while social media used to be a lot of her focus, now it’s just part of her role.

She said: “These days I’m involved in hosting tournaments, interviewing players, consulting on content strategy, working with sponsors and brands, writing, producing, and creating campaigns around some of the biggest events in tennis.

“I also work behind the scenes with companies on how to tell better stories around the sport. There really isn’t a typical day, especially during tournament season.

“One day I might be filming content at Wimbledon, the next I’m interviewing players, attending sponsor events, writing articles, editing videos, or planning content for multiple platforms.

“It’s busy, but that’s one of the things I love most about working in tennis.”

After spending a week in London, Stuhlmann also has a clear verdict on Wimbledon and spending time around the All England Club.

“Wimbledon is always one of my favourite weeks of the year. There’s just nothing else like it. The traditions, the history, the atmosphere – it’s incredibly special.

“Filming fun content and official tournament drink reviews with Genie is always a lot of fun. She is one of my closest friends and one of the smartest, best people I know.”
