Every Premier League 2026/27 opening weekend fixture and the best way to watch reside on TV
The Premier League 2026/27 season is back this weekend with a bumper opening fixture list from 21-24 August – here’s the full TV schedule
The Premier League finally makes its comeback this weekend for the 2026/27 campaign.
Every side is in action across four days of top-flight action from Friday, August 21, to Monday, August 24, with Arsenal kicking off their title defence in the season’s curtain-raiser against Frank Lampard’s Championship winners Coventry City.
Newly-promoted Hull City are also thrown straight into the fire as they take on Man United, while Man City’s first Premier League clash without Pep Guardiola on the touchline sees them welcome Bournemouth.
There’s been plenty of upheaval during the summer with a raft of big names heading off to fresh challenges, while nine managers are poised to make their league bow with their new sides.
Matthias Jaissle and Andoni Iraola will lock horns for the first time as Newcastle United and Liverpool gaffer respectively, while Enzo Maresca will be hoping his Man City team bounce back strongly following their 3-0 Community Shield thrashing by Arsenal.
So with 10 matches taking place this weekend, here’s how to catch the Premier League on TV this weekend and the complete fixture list.
How to watch the Premier League on TV
Sky Sports remains the Premier League’s main broadcaster in the UK, screening a minimum of 215 matches live during the season. Altogether, Sky will transmit approximately 1,500 fixtures from the Premier League, EFL, Carabao Cup and additional competitions this campaign across its television and digital platforms.
Football supporters will require a Sky TV and sport package to access Sky’s coverage of these tournaments, with prices beginning at £35 monthly for the Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle. This newcomer offer delivers comprehensive Premier League, EFL, F1, darts and golf coverage, featuring a £384 reduction versus the standard price (£51).
The package includes roughly 100 standard channels plus complimentary Netflix Standard with Ads and discovery+ subscriptions. There’s additionally the £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which provides all the aforementioned perks alongside free Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu memberships.
Fresh for this campaign is Your Multiview, Sky’s innovative feature launching on August 21 that enables supporters to view up to four simultaneous Sky Sports events alongside each other on one screen. There’s also a brand-new Sports Hub, delivering scores, statistics, tables and additional content to the screen’s edge during live matches.
Countdown to Kickoff: The Essential 26/27 Sky Sports Bundle

Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle includes at least 215 live Premier League clashes across the 2026/27 season, with more than 1,500 games from the EFL and beyond, plus F1, golf and darts.
This introductory offer saves £384 compared to the standard price, with every package also providing 100 regular channels alongside free Netflix and discovery+ subscriptions.
Current Sky subscribers can incorporate Sky Sports channels from £22 monthly on a fresh 24-month contract. Meanwhile, Sky Sports channels are featured with selected Virgin Media packages, numerous of which are discounted in the company’s ‘Summer of Sport’ promotion.
The flagship Sport bundle has returned to its ‘lowest ever price’ of £52.99 (down from £56.99) and includes nine Sky Sports channels, over 200 standard channels and complimentary Netflix access. However, there’s a snag as both Sky and Virgin customers will face a price hike around March and April each year.
Certain Premier League matches will also be broadcast exclusively on TNT Sports, which typically holds the rights to one game per gameweek, commencing with Hull vs Man United. TNT has also announced it will air two complete rounds of midweek fixtures in February and March 2027.
These can all be viewed on TNT Sports, HBO Max or Prime Video’s TNT Sports channel, with subscriptions beginning at £25.99 per month when committing to a year, or £30.99 on a monthly rolling plan.
