Australian Open host with well-known dad defies haters after ‘being sexualised’
Grace Hayden has shown exactly what she thinks of those who criticised her stunning outfits on television by once more turning heads at the Australian Open
Broadcaster Grace Hayden has defied her haters with yet another stunning social media post.
The blonde bombshell is the daughter of Australian cricket legend Matthew Hayden. She is currently fronting coverage of the Australian Open, hosting a live show from the tournament called Extraaa Serve. Grace has already turned heads repeatedly with her jaw-dropping outfits in the early stages of the tennis Grand Slam in Melbourne.
She recently shared three snaps of herself on Instagram while covering the action, along with the caption “Day 3”. The rising punditry star wore a glamorous blue dress and white heels for her 707,000 followers on the social media platform to enjoy.

On Thursday, the 23-year-old posted an even more eye-catching blue low-cut dress with a floral pattern, which she captioned: “Butterfly Energy Today.”
Grace appears to have inherited her father’s love for sport and is also prominent on the cricket and horse racing scenes. Her big break came in 2022 when she appeared on Channel 7’s coverage of Oaks Day.
She then tried her hand at presenting and has gone from strength to strength, becoming a fashion reporter for the same broadcaster before turning to cricket with the 2023 Big Bash League.
She received a significant career boost in January last year when she secured a position as a presenter with the Hong Kong-based Racing X.
Her job involves travelling worldwide to cover various sporting events in places such as Saudi Arabia, New Zealand and Las Vegas. Yet, her surname and presenting skills are not the only reasons she has become a huge star lately.
Grace regularly takes to social media to flaunt her outrageously good looks, most notably with bikini snaps that showcase her curves. While that has gained her hundreds of thousands of fans, some have criticised her glamorous outfits on Instagram and on TV.
She previously hit out at the criticism and appears to have once more defied the naysayers who sexualised her by wearing the same type of outfits in her latest posts.
Opening up to Sydney Confidential, Grace previously said: “As a young woman, the sexualisation of anyone just doing their job continues to happen sadly and again, is never OK.
“This is… another huge issue females face not just on social media. This is the unfortunate side of social media. With every job there is good and bad, and being a presenter is no different.”
On the treatment she has endured during her blossoming career, Grace continued: “Whether it be comments on your performance or ability – there will always be someone expressing their thoughts about you without knowing you.”
In her role with Aussie network Star Sports, Grace has also presented action alongside her illustrious dad, Matthew. The pair have covered the Indian Premier League, with their broadcasts having attracted 500 million viewers.
Hayden, 54, played for Australia between 1993 and 2009. He won the Ashes on a handful of occasions and scored over 8000 Test runs. He also holds the second-highest individual score in Test cricket, with 380 against Zimbabwe in 2003. This was only bettered by Brian Lara’s famous 400 not out a year later.
Grace is reportedly in a relationship with Wilson Statham, heir to the Sundown Pastoral cotton empire which is thought to be worth an estimated £230million.
Hayden and Wilson decided to go public with their romance in April 2024 and were spotted at a Sydney pub just a month later. The two could be seen embracing one another in the sea before relaxing on the sand.
