Bus masturbator texted pal about dangerous stunt after pleasuring himself in entrance of teenagers

A British man has been jailed for 27 months after he was caught masturbating on a public bus by two teenage boys, prompting him to text a friend and ask if he would get in trouble for the act

A pervy bloke who texted his pal to ask if he was in trouble after being caught masturbating on a bus in front of underage passengers has been jailed for more than two years.

Liverpool Crown Court heard how James Taylor, 24, was seen pleasuring himself on a bus from Warrington to Widnes near Liverpool by two teenage boys on the 8 May 2024, and subsequently a police investigation into the creep was launched.

Taylor was then found to have texted an unnamed mate after being caught performing the gross act, asking the pal if he could get in trouble for being caught having a “risky w***”, according to a police statement.

He also admitted to the man that he had been caught in the act a few times before.

The texts were uncovered following a detailed police investigation, which included the force appealing to the public for any information on the incident.

In a brazen move, Taylor chose to respond to a CCTV appeal of his own crime to say that he had not seen anything out of the ordinary while onboard the 110 bus in question.

Unsurprisingly, Taylor’s attempts to evade justice were a bust, and he was arrested on 29 May 2025.

Officers went on to discover numerous videos of him masturbating in unknown public areas and at his workplace in Warrington, along with three videos showing him on a bus.

Investigators also discovered an indecent image of a child, according to a police statement.

A police spokesperson explained that the sentence would help answer Taylor’s ‘risky w***’ question.

DC Phil Jackson said: “Taylor asked the unidentified man in his messages if he could get into trouble if he’d been seen carrying out a sexual act, especially in front of children. I think he has his answer now – all 27 months of it.

“Everyone should be able to get on a bus or go about their business without having to risk the ordeal of having to witness his perverted behaviour. Our investigation led to us uncovering the level of his worrying, and clearly illegal behaviour, which is why it’s vital you report this type of crime to police.”

Taylor was sentenced to 27 months behind bars after pleading guilty to three counts of outraging public decency, two counts of sexual activity in the presence of a child, three counts of making indecent images of children, and one count of possession of indecent images.
