Russia points direct conflict menace to UK with one British city prime of the hit checklist

Russian state-controlled television has demanded Vladimir Putin launch a deadly assault on Britain to obliterate the factory producing Storm Shadow missiles. The dictator’s propaganda mouthpiece Vladimir Solovyov urged an attack on the manufacturing facilities, which are primarily located in Stevenage.

The call came following reports that Ukraine had used Storm Shadow missiles to target a Black Sea Fleet command centre in Sevastopol, in Putin-occupied Crimea. There were also claims that the UK missiles had been deployed against the Russian strategic military airbase Baltimore in the Voronezh region.

“Every time I read about another [British-made] Storm Shadow missile strike deep into Russia, I genuinely don’t understand why we don’t hit the Storm Shadow factory in the UK,” he ranted.

“What’s the problem? Uh… It’s the UK. So what? What’s so valuable there? What’s so valuable there? Shakespeare’s legacy isn’t tied to an island. What’s so valuable about that Storm Shadow factory?”

Britain was renowned for “insanely tasteless, disgusting cuisine,” claimed Solovyov, who despite his animosity chose to educate his children at expensive UK schools. “What? The corrupt Anglican church? What’s going on there? The people? I feel sorry for the people, so stay away from the Storm Shadow factory.”

The comments came while Putin was on a trip to see his Kazakhstan counterparts, with the red carpet rolled out for the despot before a behind-closed-doors meeting was held – just hours after he met with Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill . . . known for being very much another mouthpiece of the Kremlin.

Storm Shadow missiles are manufactured by MBDA UK, chiefly at Stevenage in Hertfordshire, with additional engineering and production work undertaken at MBDA sites in Bristol and Bolton. Storm Shadow itself is a Franco-British armament, referred to as SCALP-EG in France.

The MDBA building in Stevenage backs on to a Premier Inn and is just a few seconds walk away from B&Q and a nearby ASDA, all of which one would have to assume would becollateral damage should Putin heed the advice of his favourite mouthpiece and launch an attack.

In terms of other things that the town is famous for, it is home to the first pedestrianised town centre, which was opened by the-late Queen in 1959, as well as also being the home town of Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

There’s also Stevenage Football Club, which finished sixth in League One and hasn’t won a cup since the FA Trophy in the 2008-09 season . . . if you really needed to know that.

And for those who really want to know some bizarre information, Vladimir Putin has no connected to the town at all, with locals and MPs all openly expressing solidarity with Ukraine as soon as Putin launched an invasion upon it.
