‘I’m a feminine bodybuilder and males flock to me as they’re hooked on my muscle groups’
A female bodybuilder has admitted men flock to her because they’re addicted to her muscles. Denise Anders, 35, shared what it’s like to have so many blokes gushing over her bod
A woman has opened up about how men flock to her because they love her impressive muscles. Denise Anders, 35, initially started building a social media following through body building, but this soon set off a completely different career for her.
Denise, from Birmingham, has always been passionate about body positivity and maintaining her health and her image through fitness training. However, after she started body building, she eventually began to embark on an alternative career, which led to totally changing her life.
Now, she’s opened up about why so many men love her ripped bod, and how it makes her feel to get so much attention. She’s not the first woman to share such a story either. Previously, another bodybuilder also told of how men love her body so much that they actually worship her muscles.
Denise, who has more than 26,000 followers on Instagram, explained: “I started bodybuilding at 20 after walking into a hardcore gym in Birmingham and being completely blown away. The walls were covered in these larger than life physiques and something just clicked instantly. I became obsessed.
“Dana Linn Bailey was a huge inspiration for me because she showed that you could be strong, feminine and powerful all at the same time. From that moment, I committed to transforming my body and working towards competing. It wasn’t easy, but the gym community really supported me. People helped guide my training, my diet and pushed me to level up.”
When she started to train properly, she admitted the changes to her body were “dramatic”. Her shoulders broadened, her biceps grew and her abs started to come through.
She felt like she was watching a completely new version of herself develop. “Then my legs started to catch up,” Denise added.
“First my quads and then my glutes. But, more than anything, I felt stronger every week. That physical strength turned into confidence and that’s when everything really changed.”
Later down the line, she realised men were really attracted to her strong body, so she embarked on a saucy career. After she started building muscle and sharing her physique online, she noticed the reaction straight away.
Denise explained: “The comments, being called things like ‘goddess’. It made me realise how much people are drawn to this look.
“It felt empowering because I’d worked hard for it and now it wasn’t just respected, it was desired.” When asked why she thinks men find her so attractive, she added: “Because it breaks the norm.
“A lot of relationships can feel predictable but, when you bring in strength and power dynamics, it adds a completely different layer.”
As well as getting a lot of attention, she loves her muscles for other reasons too though. No matter what’s happening in her life, training gives her what she describes as a “constant”.
For Denise, it’s something that’s become a huge part of her identity. It seems to have transformed her in more ways than one.
She said: “It makes me feel strong, confident and in control. I’ve built my body through hard work and consistency and that gives me a level of self belief that carries into everything else I do.
“It’s not just how I look. It’s a lifestyle and a part of who I am.”
