Your Party members’ knowledge revealed on-line in newest factional row to hit Jeremy Corbyn’s divided celebration – what number of onerous lefties reside in YOUR space
Data showing the location of more than 53,000 members of Jeremy Corbyn‘s Your Party has been leaked online in the latest cock-up to strike the new socialist outfit.
A breakdown of where members live was posted on Substack by a party member who said it should be democratically available to avoid allowing one of the many internal factions to have sole control of it.
Inacio Vieira said that the information, which shows in which of the 650 Westminster constituencies members live in, was made visible to members ‘deliberately or accidentally’ for six hours on November 20.
Explaining his decision to share the ‘scraped’ data Mr Viera said that ‘in the wrong hands’ it could be used for ‘shaping the fast approaching CEC (Central Executive Committee) elections and consolidating control of the collective leadership’.
Although he had only been sent the overall branch numbers, the Cambridge-based computational linguist claimed individual member profiles had also been visible, though he did not know if that data had been also been collected.
If it had it would ‘raise data‑protection questions for both whoever did so and for the party’s leadership’ he said.
It is understood Your Party does not believe any personal data was leaked.
The party has been rowing with itself ever since it was set up in the summer and one of the factional rows has been over access to data about members.
Find out how many Your Party members there are near you in our map below:
The data shows that perhaps unsurprisingly the area with the most members is Islington North, Mr Corbyn’s own seat, with 405 members.
The data shows that perhaps unsurprisingly the area with the most members is Islington North, Mr Corbyn’s own seat, with 405 members.
That is followed by Brighton Pavilion (380), which is held by Green MP Sian Berry. The rest of the top 10 are Labour-held seats in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and East Sussex.
The area with the smallest number of members is Ynys Mon (Anglesey) in Wales, where there is just one member.
In total the data suggests You Party had 53,538 members on November 20, which tallies with the claim made by party MP Zarah Sultana that it had 55,000 on December 1.
Your Party has been approached to comment.
The new socialist party just about survived its inaugural conference intact at the start of the month, despite being branded a ‘sh**show’ after a weekend of infighting, Palestinian extremism and bad singing.
The gathering of the hard Left in Liverpool followed months of chaos, factionalism and bad vibes, and it did not disappoint as a sequel to the disarray.
The first day of the founding conference was marred by a dispute over the expulsion of a number of members said to also belong to the Socialist Workers Party.

Ms Sultana boycotted that first day in protest at what she described as a ‘witch hunt’ against her supporters.
When she did attend on Sunday she reignited tensions with an attack on unnamed figures ‘at the top’ of the new party, before engaging in hardline support for Palestinians in Gaza.
In a speech that went down well with delegates, she demanded that Your Party be an ‘anti-Zionist’ movement and led a chant of ‘from the river to the sea’ that is regarded by many as an anti-Semitic call for Israel‘s elimination.
Mr Corbyn was also berated at the event for being too soft on Israel by people who were accused of being from a ‘revolutionary communist group’.
