A UK school has been placed into lockdown after a ‘threat to pupil’ was made as police swarmed.
Ysgol Bro Myrddin in Carmarthen has been locked down today (December 10), with pupils being kept inside at the end of the school day.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the lockdown was sparked after reports of a threat to a pupil were made inside the school.
Police are yet to give anything further on the threat but the incident caused a huge swam of police with the kids remaining inside despite it being the end of the school day.
Both police and Carmarthenshire Council did confirmed that all staff and pupils are safe and accounted for at school.

“A lockdown has been implemented. All pupils and staff are safe at the location. Officers remain at the school.”
A statement from Carmarthenshire Council said: “The school has just gone into lockdown under police instruction. Every pupil is safe.”
Several police vehicles are at the scene with officers guarding the main gate, causing major traffic chaos.
School buses are on the scene ready to pick up pupils but are now backed up on the road. Wales Online reports that traffic build-up is back to Pibwrlwyd.
WalesOnline reporter Rob Harries says a police drone is up above Ysgol Bro Myrddin.
He adds: “Some kids are on buses now, but no buses have left yet.”
Some pupils are now being let out of the building and were seen getting on buses but with a heavy police presence remaining.
Buses have now been allowed onto the bays having previously been locked out by police.
These buses are now being allowed to leave the school by police.
