Prem icon’s daughter is relationship rival Europa League star and likes to tease in his shirt
Maria Gaspar is the scorching hot daughter of a Premier League icon – and she’ll be hoping Aston Villa can go all the way in the Europa League this evening
The scorching hot daughter of a Premier League legend turning sporting director is dating a star from a rival team – and she loves to share snaps while wearing his shirt.
Douglas Luiz is gearing up for one the biggest matches of his career on Wednesday evening as Aston Villa travel to Istanbul to clash with German side Freiberg in the final of the Europa League, looking to win the Midlanders their first major trophy in 30 years.
And Luiz, 28, can count on the support of Maria Eduarda Gaspar, the 19-year-old daughter of former Arsenal Invincibles midfielder Edu. Maria and Luiz went public on social media earlier this year, following Luiz’s split with former Villa aceAlisha Lehmann, 27, who has been called ‘the world’s sexiest footballer’.

Back in March, Maria shared a selfie on her Instagram story with her arms around the Brazilian footballer – not too long after Lehmann had gone public with her new flame.
She told her 57,000 followers: “You are my greatest certainty,” adding a heart emoji to the loved-up snap.
Luiz, in a separate message alongside the same picture taken in a bar, wrote: “Making you happy will be my priority.”
Maria was born in Brazil, but moved to the UK when her footballing dad return to the Gunners as their first-ever sporting director in 2022.
He left the Gunners over the summer, and hooked up with Nottingham Forest as their Global Head of Football, but that didn’t last too long and he was told to stay away from the club after an internal rift earlier this year.
Maria, meanwhile, has carved out her own career as a model. She works as a model for the Sao Paulo-based Mega Model Diversity agency and a member of the talent agency weare.theunknown.
It’s this line of work that has led to her jet-setting lifestyle, sharing jaw-dropping snaps from across the globe.
However, it was in the capital where she recently showed off her beauty, attending London Fashion Week as she watched the Naomi Hart show.
Maria wore a bold cropped grey blazer and matching trousers with sunglasses.
While, in other snaps, she has posed at Villa Park in the jersey of her footballer boyfriend. Villa Park isn’t the only stadium she’s shared snaps inside – and Maria has supported her father at both Forest and Arsenal.
Edu was part of the Gunners’ legendary Invincibles side that went unbeaten en route to winning the Premier League in 2003-04, having lifted the title previously in 2001-02 under Arsene Wenger.#
He also lifted three FA Cups during his time at Highbury. But European success always eluded him as a player – his daughter will be hoping that isn’t the case for her new man Luiz.
