Luke Littler has gone back to his roots to hand out some McDonald’s on the eve of his Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship defence.
The Nuke, 18, from Warrington, became the youngest World Champion in the sports history when he beat Michael van Gerwen at the Ally Pally last January.
He will open his account this winter against Lithuanian Darius Labanauskas. A couple of weeks before the clash, Littler was back at the Sidac Social Club in St Helens – where his darting dreams started.
Images from the social club showed Littler handing out McDonald’s new burger – the Double Big Tasty. Snaps showed Littler stood inside the vintage burger van as he handed the the new item to members of the local community.
Luke said: “It’s good to be back at Sidac. I’ve had a busy year, but this is where it all started, so it’s nice to see everyone before the Championships kick off.
“It gives me the energy I need for what’s next.”
He added: “I love a Maccies, so having the Double Big Tasty here tonight was spot on. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, which was class.”
After bursting on to the scene back at the 2023 World Championship, Littler thrilled fans with his love of a post-match kebab.
He even teased fans after one win, asking the Ally Pally faithful if he should have a kebab after the match.
However it later came out that Littler had instead opted for a McDonald’s.
“I did say to the fans, do you want to see me getting a kebab,” Littler, who was 16 at the time, revealed in the following clash. “But I just thought, ‘Nah, McDonald’s’.”
It’s not the first time Littler has teamed up with McDonald’s, and back in June he launched their special Big Arch burger, appearing in a new ad.
