Tesco Clubcard warning as customers have one week to use £16m worth of points

Tesco Clubcard customers have just one week left to use their points or risk losing them.

The supermarket giant warned there are more than £16million in points due to expire after February 28.

Shoppers would have been issued the points in February 2021 with two years to redeem them.

Customers can use vouchers in-store and online to save money on their Tesco food shop.

When it comes to racking up the points, 150 gets you £1.50 to spend.

It can be used to cut the cost of fuel and tripled in value to spend at reward partners, including Cineworld.

Tesco Clubcard customers don’t have long left to use their points

You could also swap the vouchers for money off on your Tesco mobile bill too.

Tash Whitmey previously warned £16m worth of Clubcard vouchers were due to expire at the end of this month.

She added: “We’re reminding customers to spend them in what can be a tough time of year.”

You can find out how many Clubcard points you have in the app. Just head to your account and select statements.

The Tesco Clubcard scheme was launched in 1995 to allow shoppers to earn points as they shop.

Now points are turned into vouchers for money off food or other partner schemes.

The scheme helps shoppers to collect points to use in reward partners

Each time you spend £1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your card or app.

You also get one point for every £2 spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you £1.50.

And you’ll need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.
